Fitness Test and Before Pics

Tonight, after the kids are put down, we will begin the workout routine of Day 1.

Already today, I have eaten a Protein bar and a glass of milk for breakfast. An apple for my mid morning snack. A turkey sandwich and grapes for lunch. Later I will eat some tuna on wheat crackers for a snack. Then we will have a healthy dinner and after the workout we will have a healthy smoothie (My smoothie will contain a scoop of whey protein). I have also drank, in addition to my glass of milk, two glasses of water. With another two glasses coming throughout the day.

Julie is also eating healthy and drinking lots of water. But this is not really new to her as she is always very healthy and hydrated.

We did a fitness test to see our starting point. After day 90, we should be able to look back at these early test results and laugh in disgust at how wimpy we were.

ADAM'S FITNESS TEST RESULTS

Weight - 150
Chest - 38"
Waist - 34"
Hips - 37"
Thighs - 19"
Biceps (flexed) - 13"
Pull Ups - 6
Push Ups - 33
Toe touch (distance from fingertips to toes) 5"
Wall Squat - 1:17
Bicep Curls - 11 (with a 35 pound dumbbells)
Abs - In & Outs -36


JULIE'S FITNESS TEST RESULTS
Weight - 110
Chest - 32"
Waist - 28"
Hips - 35"
Thighs - 17.5"
Biceps (flexed) - 9.75"
Pull Ups - 2
Push Ups - 10
Toe touch (distance from fingertips PAST toes) 3"
Wall Squat - 2:02
Bicep Curls - 11 (with a 15 pound dumbbells)
Abs - In & Outs -22

Here are some before pictures, hopefully to be followed with progress pictures on days 30, 60, and 90.

  1. Oh, you guys are awesome!! I'm inspired!! (where are you getting your diet info? Would I have to give up coffee? Wine??)
    I love you guys, you know that. I'm such a stinkin' wimp. I could never post my before pictures. But you guys-- oh, yeah, I'm cheerin' for you!! I love how REAL you guys are. Such genuine people. And committed. And transparent. I'm inspired by more than the idea of fitness...

  2. Ha ha! No way! I've had 3 cups of coffee and 2 glasses of wine today (plus water and milk). Thanks; it was tough for me to post my before pictures, but I've gotta get over this idea that I'm supposed to be "perfect". Sure, it's great to try to be the best version of myself, but I'll never be "perfect!"

    PS--the workout kicked out butt tonight!
